Vocals

This vocal has a desperate sound, like someone calling out of a hole they fell into because they will die if they don't get help. But it might be the type I wouldn't listen to for too long. It becomes a little grading. Of course, the clips aren't my favourite, but it has a purpose. I think it just pulls me out of the place I was at with the song, and feels disjointed. I think it is the number one turn-off in this song.

Music

I like the fuzzy, drawn-out opening sounds, but the same goes for this style of drawn-out repetition. It is fine for a song, creates a dingy atmosphere, but I can't stay in it for too long.

Lyrics

The name of this song goes along with the clips and lyrics here. I think it speaks to the idea that there is a problem in your head that needs some serious removal or change. I have to say I am glad that I don't have to experience actual trepanation. The procedure is pretty sick. I can barely make it through a tiny procedure awake without shock setting in. Yikes!
