Random Questions Answered By Me

We are a month into the year, and I want to start this year off in a positive, not serious kind of way. I think I have sounded way too serious last year, and it is time to just do something for fun.

When I had my channel, people asked me to give info about myself, like my favourite book, etc. So, I know it is very late, but here I go with a few questions I was asked (and I used a random question generator for the other questions).

I will start with...

My favourite book?

Mort by Terry Pratchett. Why? Because what makes Death, the character, even better? When he has an apprentice! This book is clever, and funny, but not for anyone serious!

My favourite food?

Vegetable Korma, which is a dish from India. Spicy, lots of vegetables!

My favourite video game?

Alice: Madness Returns. This game reminds me so much of my childhood nightmares, but where I have to really fight to get through it.

My favourite board game?

Gloomhaven or Aeon's End. I don't generally like cooperative board games, but I do when the challenge is hard and interesting, which I find both of these games to be.

What's your favourite smell?

I love the smell of coffee, but don't like to drink it. I would eat chocolate-covered coffee beans.

Favourite piece of clothing?

Most definitely my black leggings. Comfortable, and go with anything. 

What would be your unconventional talent for a talent show?

Honestly, this is kind of sad, in a way, but I can keep my cool if people are rude or insult me. Because I know most people struggle with this, I think it is somewhat of a talent.

What's the weirdest dream you have ever had?

I have had so many weird dreams! I had a reoccurring one when I was a kid where I was strapped to a conveyor belt and was about to be destroyed under a sewing machine-like piece of machinery. I have acted out many of my dreams, and had many conversations in my sleep. The stories are endless.

Place travelled that you never want to go back to?

Went camping on a local island. Thought it would be safer, but it turns out a bear wanted to join. Thankfully, he couldn't make it out of the water because the shore was all around rocky and covered with algae, but it tried for an hour. I will never tent camp on an island again! Only within a building.

Fictional place you would like to visit?

There is too many beautiful non fictional places I have never seen. I want to see more of Canada. I have specifically never been out far East. Though, I question if I could handle the constant smell of fish I have been told about. FIsh is my most-hated food. But I guess if I am staying fictional, a place where I can ride my own dragon and relax in a forest.

If you lost all but one possession, what would it be?

I don't care too much about possessions. I would like to have a place to live. That would be my number one. I can't imagine what homeless people are going through.

What is the last thing that you totally overreacted to?

My dog laying in the way of the snowplow nonchalantly. He acted like it was nothing.

Dream job, what would it be?

To be paid to do what I love, which is music-related stuff. I think music helps people. I would love to be one of the many PR for bands, or continue to do reviews, but be paid for it. This way, I wouldn't need to work another job, and just focus on music. Or, to be a counsellor, because people like to talk to me, and I am calm and collected, and I want to help people. Really, I would love to do something helpful!

Something you will never be able to do well?

Swim with sharks, snorkel in the ocean. Even in a place with no sea creatures, I always envision coming face to face with something in the water. That is why I always keep my eyes open when swimming.

What food do you have a love/hate relationship with?

Bananas! I love them at the right ripeness - just starting to brown. But the wrong ripeness, I will be gagging.

Piece of art has a large impact on you?

My tattoos were created with part of my story in mind, and they have been healing in ways that I never even expected. I will be showing them at some point, but as any tattoo-addicted person says, "I am getting another one first".

Uncommon thing you encourage everyone to try once?

Try something you find scary. You will get a sense of bravery and determination, and I think it is good for you.

What sound will instantly melt your heart?

My son saying anything sweet. A very common occurrence.

Have you ever been punished for something you didn't do?

Many times by parents, teachers, work... The quiet girl is an easy target. The worst one was in high school, my friend's dad died and I went to his funeral. My parents had told the school, but when I arrived back, I was accused of skipping class and given detention. Once again, blame the quiet girl.

What's your opinion about naps?

If you can have one and are tired, do it. I love sleep!
