Update, Several Months In Now!

I have been at this website for over 3 months now. It has been a pick-me-up. Honestly, it takes conscious pursuit of my passions for me to allow myself time. This has given me that time. The time to enjoy new music, to think about the way songs reach me, to see the way others are inspired in their life with their musical creations. I love delving deeper into an album, song, or thought about music!

I look forward to days when I can actually attend a concert and support bands. I feel for bands right now. Their careers are suffering during this pandemic. Some have come up with creative ways to engage their fans, have a concert, or have hunkered down creating more masterpieces.

I was actually scheduled to be at a concert at the beginning of the pandemic and the date has been moved to March. I have my doubts that it will be happening!

I have been listening to bands/songs/albums that have piqued my interest, as well as songs from my old request list. Yes, I still have it. And yes, I am still going through it! There is lots of content. Crazy, it was over 1000 songs!

Doing full album reviews has been really fun. The experience takes something that could be very surface, and goes down into the lawyers. I find you discover lots in the layers. I don’t just listen to the albums I review once; I prefer to hear it several times to really understand what I personally get from it.

Ontario has had snow a few times now. Pretty soon it will be here to stay for the season.
