That kind of painful to the vocal chords sounding vocal is fine.

Music

I feel like for this style, this band has talent. The opening riff that we hear come back at times is decent; as soon as it starts into the vocal parts, the music just sounds similar to other songs in this genre. Of course, it gets slowed down a bit and the breakdowns come in, which are my least favourite parts. So, pretty predictable.

Lyrics

This is about someone else that has presented you in an inaccurate way, questioned your character, pointed their finger. It is interesting how they make note here of how it gave them inspiration to write this song, or maybe inspiration for more. The term white washed is sometimes used in Canada to describe the effect that genocide, and trying to remove indigenous culture and replace it, has had on past and current generations. I just heard an indigenous person use this term to describe her upbringing, where she was pulled away from her culture and taught to change it. Very negative stuff.
