Vocals

I didn't like Dorthia's vocal in Windhand, but for some reason, in this song, it makes for a very low, haunting sound. It works with this style nicely.

Music

I need a strummy, laid-back song, with some atmospheric synth, like this once in a while. My only complaint is it seemed a little long.

Lyrics

The name of the song made me not want to like it. We have all heard those horrific stories where someone kills their family and then themselves. It happens everywhere. Even in the small town I live in, only here, it means you know the family. 

But I think these lyrics could be paralleled with trying to shelter a family from the world or something awful. You are willing to take a journey to save yourself, and your family.
