Vocals

This is what I have come to expect for their vocals. I don't understand the choice, but I am getting used to them. I guess Dream Theater wouldn't be Dream Theater without them. I can sing along with them, so there is that.

Music

A journey, of course. I did okay for the first six minutes, and then thought the song could have ended. Dream Theater is a band I cannot listen to in an unending way, but need to find the songs I like within their catalog. I thought this song was pretty good.

Lyrics

On one hand, this song seems to be about how unimportant we are, like a blue dot. On the other hand it is saying save us from ourselves, which is claiming we have lots of influence. I tend to agree; we do need to be saved from ourselves. We tend to be foolish.
